What time is it?

3/16/14

Most things are forgotten over time. Even the war itself, the life-and-death struggle people went through is now like something from the distant past. We're so caught up in our everyday lives that events of the past are no longer in orbit around our minds. There are just too many things we have to think about everyday, too many new things we have to learn. But still, no matter how much time passes, no matter what takes place in the interim, there are some things we can never assign to oblivion, memories we can never rub away. They remain with us forever, like a touchstone. -Haruki Murakami

So it's been about five weeks since my last blog post (and my rather silly plan of spending Valentine's Day alone, which turned out worse than expected because I failed to run some errands, so I unfortunately did not get said socks) Anyways, our last day of school was on the 14th of March, and to be honest, it was just like ay other day (except for the fact all we did was check test papers, we don't do that every day). But when the school bell rang, marking the end of the last period, it hit me. I'm done with this freshman thing. I'm done for 9th grade. The school year was over and the only place I'd be going is forward. I survived my first year in high school (yay) and it apparently turned out better than expected. I don't know how to express in words how much the people I've met that year contributed to who I am and who I want to be. I truly will be looking forward to the coming year. Moving on to the less dramatic stuff, since the school year had ended, you know what that means! *drum roll*

It's summer time! (If you did not get that HSM reference, I have absolutely no idea what you're doing in your life) And since I don't want this summer to turn out like my past summers (those which involve sore arms as a surfing aftermath, staying up late until four in the morning watching online shopping commercials, ruining my life by boredom eating, not socializing almost at all, etc.) I decided to make a... wait for it...

It goes as follows:

Go on an out-of-town trip
Upload a new deviation
Take taekwondo classes!
Visit old school friends
Go to an amusement park
Read 2 new books
Write a oneshot
Go to a beach
Learn a new piano piece
Wreck your journal
Go horseback riding
Surf (the seas, not the internet)
Socialize (lol what a joke)

I'm going to try (quite vainly) to do all those aforementioned, and at the same time keep my social networks updated! I don't really have anything further to say, so I guess I'll end it here by wishing you a great summer! (or whatever season you're experiencing!   ◕ )
